Our small team in Malaysia is fairly international, consisting of advisors trained in Malaysia, Germany, France, USA and the UK. The same goes for our clients who literally come from across the globe. We advise major MNCs but also a large number of often very specialised SMEs. For many of our clients, Malaysia is a relatively new market. This means they rely on us regarding a broad range of topics which we cover with a relatively small team of academically very strong, yet pragmatic advisors. The ideal candidate, therefore, needs to be able to conduct research on a variety of legal issues and present practical solutions in an easy-to-understand manner, always taking the commercial needs of our clients into account. The job we offer is not an easy one. For those who move to Malaysia from abroad (especially from civil law jurisdictions), it will mean to work in an unknown environment and different legal system. The beginning especially, will be very challenging and this job offer is expressly not for those who "want to try out Asia". We are looking for someone who is not just passing though but who is willing to start and build a successful career in Malaysia and the region.

• Strong technical and commercial abilities
• Highly effective communicator (both orally and in writing, in English and in German)
• Able to take on a high degree of responsibility and manage a challenging workload
• Committed to providing an excellent service to our clients
• Proactive involvement in business development and knowledge management
• Knowledge of international tax law is an advantage.
